Many people first hear about DrWell through GLP-1 weight loss medication. It is not the only thing DrWell supports. Here is an overview of the other kinds of care you may be able to get, and what to know before you start.
Services vary by provider and by state, so your provider will confirm what is available to you.
How does DrWell approach care?
Treatment starts with a conversation and a review of your health history, not a product. A licensed provider decides whether a treatment is medically appropriate for you, explains the risks, and follows up as your care continues. Some medications prescribed through DrWell are compounded, and compounded medications are not FDA approved. Your provider will tell you which option you are receiving.
Is online hormone therapy available for men?
Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is used to treat low testosterone, a condition confirmed by symptoms and blood tests. Symptoms can include fatigue, low libido, and reduced muscle mass, but they also have many other causes, so labs matter.
TRT is not right for everyone. It can lower sperm production and fertility, raise red blood cell counts, and may worsen sleep apnea. It is not used in men with prostate or breast cancer. Your provider will check labs before you begin and monitor them while you are on treatment.
Is online hormone therapy available for women?
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can relieve menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. Estrogen is also approved to prevent bone loss after menopause.
Hormone therapy has risks, and the right choice depends on your age, how long ago menopause began, and your personal and family history. Estrogen products carry boxed warnings that include endometrial cancer, cardiovascular disorders, breast cancer, and dementia. Your provider will talk through these before you decide.
What treatments are available for hair loss?
Common options include topical minoxidil, which helps many people regrow or maintain hair, and oral finasteride for men, which slows further loss. Results take months, not weeks, and stopping treatment usually leads to loss of the gains.
Finasteride can cause sexual side effects in some men, and it should not be handled by women who are or may become pregnant. Your provider will review what fits your situation.
What skin care treatments are available?
Prescription skin care can include retinoids such as tretinoin, which are used for acne, fine lines, and uneven tone, along with other topical prescriptions chosen for your skin concerns. Retinoids can cause dryness and irritation, increase sun sensitivity, and are not used during pregnancy. A provider can help you choose a plan and adjust it as your skin responds.
What about erectile dysfunction?
Oral medications such as sildenafil and tadalafil are common first treatments for erectile dysfunction. They are not safe for men who take nitrate medications, and they can interact with other drugs. Because erectile dysfunction can signal heart disease or diabetes, a provider will ask about your overall health and not only the symptom.
What is longevity-focused care?
Longevity care focuses on prevention and healthy aging: reviewing labs and risk factors, supporting sleep, nutrition, exercise, and stress, and choosing treatments that fit your health and goals. Evidence for many longevity treatments is still developing, and your provider should be clear about what is proven and what is not.
Can you combine services?
Often, yes. A provider can look at your whole picture and decide which treatments make sense together, in what order, and what to monitor. Taking more than one treatment can add side effects and interactions, which is why a single provider who knows your full history is valuable.
How do you get started?
Start with a consultation. Your provider will ask about your history, current medications, and goals, order labs when needed, and explain the options, costs, and risks before you decide.
