Brilliance is a compounded topical cream that combines azelaic acid, tranexamic acid, and niacinamide. It does not contain hydroquinone. Strive Pharmacy prepares it for use as part of a provider-guided skin care plan.
It is a compounded medication. It is not FDA approved, and the FDA has not evaluated it for safety, effectiveness, or quality. A licensed provider decides whether it is appropriate for you.
Each ingredient is a separate active component applied to the skin. Azelaic acid is a topical acid used in skin care, tranexamic acid is applied topically in some skin care formulations, and niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3. Your provider will explain where and how much to apply.
Because this is a custom formulation, your provider can adjust the prescription based on how your skin responds.
Your provider will tell you how and when to apply the cream and when to follow up. Some people notice mild tingling, dryness, or redness in the first weeks, and your provider may adjust how often you use it. Results vary from person to person, and no outcome is guaranteed.
Your prescription is filled by the compounding pharmacy and shipped to you with directions on the label.
Brilliance is prescribed by a licensed provider after an evaluation. It may not be appropriate for everyone. Tell your provider about your full medical history, including any history of blood clots or clotting disorders, and if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
Topical products can cause skin redness, itching, dryness, burning, stinging, or irritation. Azelaic acid may cause tingling or mild peeling, especially early in use. Allergic reactions are possible.
Stop use and contact your provider if you develop a rash, swelling, severe irritation, or any unusual symptoms.
