BoomRx
Pharmacy ordering portal for licensed clinics

BoomRx orders from pharmacies.DrWell runs the whole weight and wellness program.

BoomRx, part of WellSync, is a pharmacy portal where licensed clinics order 503A, 503B and brand medications, through a web portal, an embedded module or an EMR integration. It is not a pharmacy and the clinic's own prescribers write the scripts. DrWell Connect is a practice platform for cash-pay weight loss, HRT and peptide programs that includes a pre-vetted pharmacy network and also handles enrollment, automatic orders, payments and patient follow-up.

A pharmacy portal covers one step of the program

BoomRx does one job well, which is placing orders with pharmacies. Everything around that job still sits outside it: deciding when the next order is due, confirming the payment cleared, billing the patient, handling a failed card and collecting consent. A practice that adds a portal for pharmacy ordering is adding another login to the five or six tools it already uses. DrWell puts the pharmacy network inside the same system as enrollment, payment and patient follow-up, so the order is created because the patient enrolled and paid, not because someone remembered to place it.

What BoomRx already handles

BoomRx supports any licensed clinic that prescribes, including wellness clinics, med spas, telemedicine providers, hormone clinics and physician offices. For medication-adjacent workflows, the clinic's own prescribers write the scripts and BoomRx supplies no prescribers, with three ways to order: a web portal, an embedded JavaScript module or a direct EMR integration with automatic transmission and status updates. Clinics do not select individual pharmacies, and rerouting rules for out-of-stock or state-ineligible orders are not published.

What DrWell adds to recurring treatment

DrWell connects enrollment, payment status and the treatment plan to the next medication order. The first eligible order can be generated when treatment begins, and later orders can follow successful payment with planned dose progression. Multiple medications can be managed in one subscription, reducing the number of separate recurring workflows your staff has to maintain.

A pharmacy network built into the program

DrWell includes a pre-vetted 503A and 503B pharmacy network covering all 50 states and DC. If an eligible order cannot be filled through its original route, the platform can reroute it within the network. Your EMR remains the practice system while DrWell manages the medication-program fulfillment workflow.

Keep medication-program payment risk separate

BoomRx states it is not an insurance billing company, and its terms authorize recurring charges to the clinic's card. Patient payments, merchant of record and recurring patient billing are not published. DrWell is the merchant of record for program payments and uses high-risk processing, with payouts arriving next day and the cost of goods and platform service fee already deducted.

No payment platform can control another processor's underwriting decisions. The value of this structure is separation: eligible medication-program transactions do not need to run through the merchant account your practice depends on for ordinary services.

Give patients a treatment-specific experience

BoomRx can continue supporting its existing patient workflows: patients receive shipment updates. A BoomRx patient app or portal, and pause or cancel, are not published.

CareOS adds medication-program self-service, including program billing status, card updates, pauses and medication order tracking from shipment through delivery. Versioned medication consent is completed before checkout, and identity is verified before an order is created.

See the economics of the medication program

BoomRx provides live data reporting and shows drug prices inside the platform, with a claim of 20% lower cost on average. The basis of the 20% is not published.

DrWell adds order-level visibility into medication cost of goods, shipping and the platform service fee, helping owners forecast program margin as treatment doses change.
